May 2, 2012: Erie, PA 16504 The Mercyhurst Prep Lakers crushed the visiting Seneca Bobcats baseball team by a count of 8-1 in Wednesday's non-league bout.
The Lakers now possess a 7-6 record. They take the field next when they host Fairview for a non-league bout on Friday, May 4.
Next, the Bobcats face the Girard Yellowjackets (Girard, PA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, May 5. Seneca will attempt to move on its 3-9 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the bout with a 4-11 record after their 4-3 league loss to Fort LeBoeuf (Waterford, PA).

Mitch Upperman went 4-4 with 3 rbi's and picked up the win on the mound with 3 scoreless innings. Brandon Peebles went 2-4 with a triple and a RBI. Peebles also threw 2 guys out stealing in the same inning. Ian Pertz also had 2 hits and the Lakers cruised to a 8-1 win over seneca.
