April 6, 2016: Belmont, NC 28012 The Kings Mountain Mountaineers got by the host South Point Red Raiders baseball team by a count of 3-2 in Wednesday's non-league bout.
The Mountaineers now possess a 9-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to East Rutherford for a Conference 4 3A/2A bout on Friday, April 8. Kings Mountain will face a Cavaliers team coming off a 12-2 league win over Chase (Forest City, NC). The Cavaliers record now stands at 11-3.
Next, the Red Raiders face the Stuart Cramer Storm (Belmont, NC) in a Big South 3A/2A bout, on Friday, April 8. South Point will attempt to move on its 8-6 season record. The Storm enter the bout with a 9-6 record after their 4-3 league win over East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC).
