Canyon Eagles (Canyon, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Lovejoy Leopards (Lucas, TX), 21-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now sport a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they host Frenship for a non-league battle on Tuesday, March 15.

The Leopards now sport a 9-7 record. They play next when they host Denison for a 5A Region II District 10 battle on Monday, March 7. Lovejoy will meet a Yellow Jackets squad coming off a 9-3 non-league loss to Tom Bean (Tom Bean, TX). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 6-6.
