Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the La Jolla Vikings (La Jolla, CA) and the host Bishop's Knights (La Jolla, CA), saw La Jolla's basketball team get by Bishop's by a score of 53-52.

The Vikings now sport a 11-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mission Bay for a Western contest on Tuesday, January 20. La Jolla will battle a Buccaneers team coming off a 85-44 non-league win over Mater Dei Catholic (Chula Vista, CA). The Buccaneers record now stands at 13-1.

The Knights (10-5) will now prepare for their contest against Santa Fe Christian (Solana Beach, CA). The Eagles come into the Coastal contest with a 9-8 record. In their last contest, Santa Fe Christian was nudged by Parker (San Diego, CA), 69-42, in a league contest.
