Florida High School Football - DeLand knocked off by Mainland
August 31, 2012: Daytona Beach, FL 32114 Mainland Buccaneers (Daytona Beach, FL) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team top the visiting DeLand Bulldogs (DeLand, FL), 19-3 in a non-league game.
The Buccaneers (1-0) will now prepare for their game against Jones (Orlando, FL). The Fightin' Tigers come into the non-league game with a 1-0 record. In their last game, Jones knocked off Lake Wales (Lake Wales, FL), 20-17, in a non-league game.
The Bulldogs now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host New Smyrna Beach for a non-league game on Friday, September 7. DeLand will battle a Barracudas team coming off a 15-12 non-league win over Astronaut (Titusville, FL). The Barracudas record now stands at 1-0.
