Webber Tigers (Lyndonville, NY) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Akron Tigers (Akron, NY), 42-31 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Webber upgrades its record to 2-2 on the season. The Tigers travel to Notre Dame (Batavia, NY) to play the Fighting Irish in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 3. The Fighting Irish go into the bout with a record of 1-0.

Next up, the Tigers play the Newfane Panthers (Newfane, NY) in a Section 6 Niagara - Orleans bout, on Friday, December 18. Akron will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 5-0 record after their 56-32 league win over Medina (Medina, NY).
