Hershey Panthers (Hershey, NE) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Dundy County-Stratton Tigers (Benkelman, NE), 49-48 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Hershey upgrades its record to 5-16 on the campaign. The Panthers host St. Patrick's (North Platte, NE) to play the Irish in a C2 District 11 bout on Thursday, February 11. The Irish come into the bout with a record of 16-6. St. Patrick's won 47-37 in their recent non-league bout against Paxton (Paxton, NE)

Next up, the Tigers play the Southern Valley Eagles (Oxford, NE) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 12. Dundy County-Stratton will attempt to upgrade on its 16-2 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 18-2 record after their 67-56 non-league win over Blue Hill (Blue Hill, NE).
