Broad Run Spartans (Ashburn, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host Battlefield Bobcats (Haymarket, VA), 65-63 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Broad Run upgrades its record to 17-7 on the season.

Next up, the Bobcats play the Briar Woods Falcons (Ashburn, VA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 23. Battlefield will attempt to upgrade on its 12-11 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 17-5 record after their 71-45 league win over Dominion (Sterling, VA).
