Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Mary Persons Bulldogs (Forsyth, GA) and the visiting Perry Panthers (Perry, GA), saw Mary Persons's basketball squad hold off Perry by a tally of 47-42.

With the victory, Mary Persons improves its record to 3-22 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Spalding (Griffin, GA) to confront the Jaguars in a AAAA Region 2 challenge on Friday, February 2. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a record of 19-3. Spalding won 68-49 in their recent league challenge against West Laurens (Dexter, GA)

Next up, the Panthers confront the Upson-Lee Knights (Thomaston, GA) in a AAAA Region 2 challenge, on Friday, February 2. Perry will attempt to improve on its 8-14 season record. The Knights go into the test with a 13-10 record after their 61-51 league win over Howard (Macon, GA).
