The Kings Mountain Mountaineers basketball team scored 68 points and restricted the visiting Draughn Wildcats to 49 in the Mountaineers league triumph on Wednesday.

In their next game, the Mountaineers meet the Crest Chargers (Shelby, NC) in a South Mountain 2A/3A match, on Friday, January 29. Kings Mountain will attempt to move on its 13-6 season record. The Chargers enter the match with a 9-10 record after their 75-70 league win over Rutherfordton-Spindale Central (Rutherfordton, NC).

With the defeat, Draughn moves to 6-14 on the year. The Wildcats host East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC) to meet the Cavaliers in a South Mountain 2A/3A match on Friday, January 29. The Cavaliers enter the match with a record of 14-5. East Burke won 92-89 in their recent league match against Shelby (Shelby, NC)
