California High School Basketball - Washington overwhelms Mt. Eden
December 2, 2008: Hayward, CA 94545 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Washington Huskies (Fremont, CA) and the host Mt. Eden Monarchs (Hayward, CA), saw Washington's basketball squad trounce Mt. Eden by a count of 61-31.
With the victory, Washington upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Huskies host Woodside (Woodside, CA) to play the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 4. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 2-0. Woodside won 73-55 in their recent non-league challenge against Yerba Buena (San Jose, CA)
Next up, the Monarchs play the Granada Matadors (Livermore, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 4. Mt. Eden will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Matadors come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 64-59 non-league win over Freedom (Oakley, CA).
