Illinois High School Basketball - Chicago University can't hold off St. Rita
December 11, 2016: Chicago, IL 60637 The St. Rita Mustangs basketball team scored 50 points and held the host Chicago University Maroons to 46 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Sunday.
The Mustangs now sport a 4-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Marian Catholic for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 13. St. Rita will battle a Spartans team coming off a 60-54 non-league loss to Orr (Chicago, IL). The Spartans record now stands at 3-3.
The Maroons (5-3) will now prepare for their contest against Payton College Prep (Chicago, IL). The Grizzlies enter the non-league contest with a 2-5 record. In their last contest, Payton College Prep was nudged by Schurz (Chicago, IL), 63-54, in a league contest.
