October 16, 2015: Iowa City, IA 52245 The Xavier Saints held off the host Regina Regals football team by a count of 38-35 in Friday's non-league outing.
With the win, Xavier upgrades its record to 7-0 on the season. The Saints travel to Marion (Marion, IA) to encounter the Indians in a 3A District 4 outing on Friday, October 23. The Indians go into the outing with a record of 0-9. Marion lost 35-8 in their recent league bout against Wahlert/Marquette (Dubuque, IA)
The Regals (7-1) will now prepare for their bout against Pella Christian (Pella, IA). The Eagles enter the 1A District 6 bout with a 6-2 record. In their last bout, Pella Christian held off West Marshall (State Center, IA), 47-0, in a league bout.
