St. Thomas More Cougars (Lafayette, LA) fans were thrilled Saturday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Benton Tigers (Benton, LA), 8-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Cougars face the Comeaux Spartans (Lafayette, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 30. St. Thomas More will attempt to better on its 8-3 season record. The Spartans enter the challenge with a 3-4 record after their 6-1 non-league win over Westminster Academy (Opelousas, LA).
