The Covington Lions basketball team scored 65 points and held the visiting Slidell Tigers to 55 in the Lions league triumph on Friday.

The Lions now sport a 9-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fontainebleau for a 5A District 7 contest on Friday, February 4.

The Tigers (11-7) will now prepare for their contest against Mandeville (Mandeville, LA). The Skippers enter the 5A District 7 contest with a 19-4 record. In their last contest, Mandeville ran past St. Scholastica (Covington, LA), 57-34, in a league contest.
