In Friday's non-league match, the host High Point Central Bison football squad scored a close 24-17 victory over the Asheboro Blue Comets.

In their next game, the Bison clash with the Page Pirates (Greensboro, NC) in a non-league match, on Friday, August 31. High Point Central will attempt to move on its 2-0 season record. The Pirates enter the match with a 0-2 record after their 14-7 non-league loss to Northern Guilford (Greensboro, NC).

The Blue Comets (0-2) will now prepare for their match against Randleman (Randleman, NC). The Tigers enter the non-league match with a 1-1 record. In their last match, Randleman held off Central Davidson (Lexington, NC), 28-21, in a non-league match.
