Louisiana High School Basketball - Scotlandville holds off Tara
December 28, 2009: Baton Rouge, LA 70807 Scotlandville Hornets (Baton Rouge, LA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting Tara Trojans (Baton Rouge, LA), 57-54 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Scotlandville upgrades its record to 14-4 on the season. The Hornets host Central (Baton Rouge, LA) to play the Wildcats in a 5A District 5 bout on Tuesday, January 5. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 9-3. Central lost 54-43 in their recent non-league bout against Dunham (Baton Rouge, LA)
Next up, the Trojans play the Broadmoor Buccaneers (Baton Rouge, LA) in a 4A District 7 bout, on Tuesday, January 5. Tara will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record. The Buccaneers go into the bout with a 3-9 record after their 57-53 non-league loss to Northeast (Pride, LA).
