August 28, 2009: Johnson City, TN 37604 In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Elizabethton Fighting Cyclones football squad scored a good 23-14 victory over the Science Hill Hilltoppers.
In their next game, the Fighting Cyclones clash with the Happy Valley Warriors (Elizabethton, TN) in a 3A District 1 match, on Friday, September 4. Elizabethton will attempt to move on its 2-0 season record. The Warriors enter the match with a 1-0 record after their 45-6 non-league win over Unaka (Elizabethton, TN).
The Hilltoppers (1-1) will now prepare for their match against Volunteer (Church Hill, TN). The Falcons enter the non-league match with a 0-2 record. In their last match, Volunteer was toppled by Sullivan North (Kingsport, TN), 28-27, in a non-league match.
