September 11, 2012: Durham, NC 27703 The Riverside Pirates volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Southern Spartans to 0 in the Pirates league victory on Tuesday.
The Pirates now have a 10-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Middle Creek for a non-league game on Wednesday, September 12. Riverside will meet a Mustangs team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Holly Springs (Holly Springs, NC). The Mustangs record now stands at 5-6.
The Spartans (0-5) will now prepare for their game against East Chapel Hill (Chapel Hill, NC). The Wildcats enter the 4A PAC 6 game with a 1-11 record. In their last game, East Chapel Hill dropped by Orange (Hillsborough, NC), 3-0, in a non-league game.
