The Sherman Bearcats basketball team scored 77 points and restricted the visiting Spring Woods Tigers to 67 in the Bearcats non-league victory on Monday.

The Bearcats now sport a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Denison for a 5A Region II District 10 contest on Tuesday, January 5.

The Tigers (3-12) will now prepare for their contest against Celina (Celina, TX). The Bobcats come into the non-league contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, Celina prevailed over Princeton (Princeton, TX), 56-48, in a non-league contest.
