August 28, 2015: Bakersville, NC 28705 The Mitchell Mountaineers football squad scored 49 points and restricted the visiting Cherokee Braves to 7 in the Mountaineers non-league victory on Friday.
The Mountaineers now possess a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Andrews for a non-league battle on Friday, September 4. Mitchell will play a Wildcats squad coming off a 29-24 non-league win over Tellico Plains (Tellico Plains, TN). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-0.
