Texas High School Basketball - Monterey overwhelms Dumas
December 4, 2014: Lubbock, TX 79413 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Monterey Plainsmen (Lubbock, TX) and the visiting Dumas Demons (Dumas, TX), saw Monterey's basketball squad wallop Dumas by a tally of 54-30.
With the victory, Monterey improves its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Plainsmen travel to Abilene (Abilene, TX) to confront the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 5. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 5-0. Abilene won 67-59 in their recent non-league challenge against Westlake (Austin, TX)
Next up, the Demons confront the Irvin Rockets (El Paso, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 6. Dumas will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record. The Rockets come into the challenge with a 2-7 record after their 49-43 non-league loss to Socorro (El Paso, TX).
