Connecticut High School Basketball - Cheney RVT fells Somers
December 28, 2011: Manchester, CT 06040 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Cheney RVT Beavers (Manchester, CT) and the visiting Somers Spartans (Somers, CT), saw Cheney RVT's basketball squad overcome Somers by a score of 57-40.
With the victory, Cheney RVT improves its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The Beavers host Windham RVT (Willimantic, CT) to play the Mighty Tigers in a Constitution State - East challenge on Tuesday, January 3. The Mighty Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 1-5. Windham RVT lost 82-63 in their recent non-league challenge against Abbott RVT (Danbury, CT)
Next up, the Spartans play the Canton Warriors (Canton, CT) in a North Central Connecticut challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Somers will attempt to improve on its 3-2 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 65-31 non-league loss to Cromwell (Cromwell, CT).
