Oregon High School Volleyball - Brookings-Harbor North Bend/Oregon Coast Tech
September 25, 2012: Brookings, OR 97415 The North Bend/Oregon Coast Tech Bulldogs volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Brookings-Harbor Bruins to 1 in the Bulldogs league victory on Tuesday.
The Bulldogs now possess a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sutherlin for a 4A Far West game on Thursday, September 27. North Bend/Oregon Coast Tech will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-0 league win over South Umpqua (Myrtle Creek, OR). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-2.
The Bruins (4-6) will now prepare for their game against Siuslaw (Florence, OR). The Vikings enter the 4A Far West game with a 7-3 record. In their last game, Siuslaw defeated Douglas (Winston, OR), 3-2, in a league game.
Match Summary
Game three ended with a questionable ruling on a incorrect server and the game was first given to North Bend. After discussing it further, it was determined that the ruling was wrong and the win really went to Brookings. So after about a 5-10 minute discussion and checking of the rulebook, the players were called back and the game continued. The loss of momentum that was lost as a result of an incorrect ruling was too much for Brookings to come back from.
