Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Northwestern trounces Union City

January 6, 2016: Albion, PA 16401

The Northwestern Wildcats (Albion, PA) basketball crushed the visiting Union City Bears (Union City, PA), 62-14 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Wildcats (8-3) will now prepare for their test against Mercyhurst Prep (Erie, PA). The Lakers go into the District 10 Region 4 test with a 6-4 record. In their last test, Mercyhurst Prep walloped Seneca (Erie, PA), 45-38, in a league test.

The Bears now own a 1-8 record. They play next when they travel to Saegertown for a District 10 Region 3 test on Friday, January 8. Union City will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 50-35 non-league loss to Fort LeBoeuf (Waterford, PA). The Panthers record now stands at 6-5.
