Illinois High School Softball - St. Bede bounces Erie-Prophetstown
March 29, 2018: Erie, IL 61250 The crowd at Thursday's league match between the St. Bede Bruins (Peru, IL) and the host Erie-Prophetstown Panthers (Erie, IL), saw St. Bede's softball squad nip Erie-Prophetstown by a count of 7-0.
The Bruins now sport a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fulton for a non-league match on Saturday, March 31. St. Bede will face a Steamers squad coming off a 13-4 league win over Sherrard (Sherrard, IL). The Steamers record now stands at 4-1.
With the loss, Erie-Prophetstown falls to 3-2 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Princeton (Princeton, IL) to face the Tigers in a Three Rivers match on Monday, April 2. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 0-3.
