Texas High School Basketball - Pearland overwhelms MacArthur

Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Pearland Oilers (Pearland, TX) and the visiting MacArthur Cardinals (Irving, TX), saw Pearland's basketball squad trounce MacArthur by a count of 75-39.

With the victory, Pearland upgrades its record to 13-7 on the campaign. The Oilers host Alvin (Alvin, TX) to play the Yellowjackets in a 5A Region III District 22 challenge on Friday, January 4. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a record of 1-18. Alvin lost 47-44 in their recent non-league challenge against Dobie (Houston, TX)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Heritage Panthers (Colleyville, TX) in a 5A Region I District 6 challenge, on Friday, January 4. MacArthur will attempt to upgrade on its 7-7 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 13-6 record after their 48-46 non-league win over Humble (Humble, TX).
