New York High School Basketball - St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute falls to Nichols
January 3, 2009: Kenmore, NY 14223 The Nichols Vikings basketball team scored 64 points and held the host St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute Marauders to 51 in the Vikings league triumph on Saturday.
The Vikings now sport a 8-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Niagara Catholic for a Monsignor Martin contest on Tuesday, January 6. Nichols will meet a Big Red team coming off a 81-75 non-league loss to Lewiston-Porter (Youngstown, NY). The Big Red record now stands at 3-7.
The Marauders (3-5) will now prepare for their contest against Williamsville East (East Amherst, NY). The Flames enter the non-league contest with a 4-5 record. In their last contest, Williamsville East was defeated by Downey (Modesto, CA), 71-37, in a non-league contest.
