West Virginia High School Basketball - Nicholas County holds off Summers County
February 9, 2018: Hinton, WV 25951 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Nicholas County Grizzlies (Summersville, WV) and the host Summers County Bobcats (Hinton, WV), saw Nicholas County's basketball squad hold off Summers County by a tally of 73-68.
With the victory, Nicholas County improves its record to 16-4 on the campaign. The Grizzlies travel to Braxton County (Sutton, WV) to confront the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Monday, February 12. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 10-11. Braxton County won 69-50 in their recent league challenge against Ritchie County (Ellenboro, WV)
Next up, the Bobcats confront the Richwood Lumberjacks (Richwood, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 13. Summers County will attempt to improve on its 14-8 season record. The Lumberjacks come into the challenge with a 2-19 record after their 45-32 non-league loss to Charleston Catholic (Charleston, WV).
