The Slippery Rock Rockets basketball team scored 46 points and restricted the visiting Mercer Mustangs to 37 in the Rockets non-league victory on Thursday.

The Rockets now sport a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to George Junior Republic for a District 10 Region 5 contest on Tuesday, January 3. Slippery Rock will battle a team coming off a 77-64 league win over Hickory (Hermitage, PA). The record now stands at 3-3.
