Georgia High School Softball - Oconee County can't get by Jones County
September 14, 2018: Watkinsville, GA 30677 In Friday's non-league contest, the Jones County Greyhounds (Gray, GA) softball team held off the host Oconee County Warriors (Watkinsville, GA), by a margin of 5-4.
With the triumph, Jones County moves its record to 16-2 on the year. The Greyhounds travel to East Coweta (Sharpsburg, GA) to play the Indians in a non-league contest on Saturday, September 15. The Indians come into the contest with a record of 15-0. East Coweta won 8-6 in their recent non-league contest against Buford (Buford, GA)
In their next game, the Warriors play the South Gwinnett Comets (Snellville, GA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 14. Oconee County will attempt to move on its 12-8 season record. The Comets come into the contest with a 3-8 record after their 11-3 league loss to Newton (Covington, GA).
