Utah High School Basketball - Lehi fells Stansbury
December 30, 2015: Tooele, UT 84074 Lehi Pioneers (Lehi, UT) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Stansbury Stallions (Tooele, UT), 70-51 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Lehi upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Pioneers host Riverton (Riverton, UT) to clash with the Silverwolves in a 5A Region 4 bout on Tuesday, January 12. The Silverwolves go into the bout with a record of 3-6.
Next up, the Stallions clash with the Rockwell Marshals (Eagle Mountain, UT) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 31. Stansbury will attempt to upgrade on its 2-10 season record. The Marshals go into the bout with a 1-8 record after their 54-43 non-league loss to Tabiona (Tabiona, UT).
First Quarter
Tanner Nygren led Lehi with 7 points in the first quarter. 6 Players scored for Lehi in the period. Stansbury scored 12 points and the score at the end of the first period is Lehi 21 and Stansbury 12.
