Illinois High School Basketball - Knoxville holds off Havana
January 18, 2018: Havana, IL 62644 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Knoxville Blue Bullets (Knoxville, IL) and the host Havana Ducks (Havana, IL), saw Knoxville's basketball squad hold off Havana by a tally of 55-48.
With the victory, Knoxville improves its record to 21-4 on the campaign. The Blue Bullets host Abingdon/Avon (Abingdon, IL) to confront the Tornadoes in a Prairieland challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Tornadoes come into the challenge with a record of 6-15.
Next up, the Ducks confront the Brimfield Indians (Brimfield, IL) in a Prairieland challenge, on Monday, January 22. Havana will attempt to improve on its 13-12 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 15-8 record after their 38-34 league win over Astoria/VIT (Astoria, IL).
