Mississippi High School Basketball - New Hope nips Leake Central

February 14, 2019: Carthage, MS 39051

New Hope Trojans (Columbus, MS) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Leake Central Gators (Carthage, MS), 45-43 in a league bout.

With the win, New Hope upgrades its record to 12-14 on the season. The Trojans travel to Louisville (Louisville, MS) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Friday, February 15. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 21-4. Louisville won 86-22 in their recent non-league bout against Noxubee County (Macon, MS)

Next up, the Gators play the Noxubee County Tigers (Macon, MS) in a 4A Region 4 bout, on Friday, February 15. Leake Central will attempt to upgrade on its 15-13 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 2-20 record after their 86-22 non-league loss to Louisville (Louisville, MS).
