March 17, 2018: Pueblo West, CO 81007 The Pueblo West Cyclones the visiting Northridge Grizzlies baseball team by a count of 8-6 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Cyclones now possess a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host Grand Junction Central for a non-league bout on Saturday, March 17. Pueblo West will face a Warriors team coming off a 16-7 non-league win over Ponderosa (Parker, CO). The Warriors record now stands at 2-1.
Next, the Grizzlies face the Greeley West Spartans (Greeley, CO) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, March 27. Northridge will attempt to move on its 2-3 season record.
Game Summary
The Grizzlies drop their 3rd straight spring trip game losing to Pueblo West by the score of 8-6. Northridge had troubles on the mound as they walked 8 and hit 2 batsman as the Cyclones had people on base all game. Chance Eben throws 4 innings and gets a no decision. Chance gave up 3 hits, 1 earned run with 6 walks and 5 strikeouts. Trey Vasquez comes in relief of Eben in the 5th and takes the loss throwing 2 innings. Trey gave up 4 hits, 5 earned runs, 2 walks and strikes out 3. The Grizzlies had 8 hits in the game. In the top of the 4th with Northridge down 3-2 and 2 outs Joe Lombardelli tripled to right field to drive in 2 to give the Grizzlies a 4-3 lead. Pueblo West comes back with 5 in the bottom half and the Grizzlies couldn't come back. At the plate Kaylor Werner was 2 for 4 with a double and a RBI, Joe Lombardelli was 2 for 4 with a triple and 3 RBI's. Trey Vasquez drove in 2 in the game.
