The Sabetha Bluejays (Sabetha, KS) football defeated the visiting Nemaha Central Thunder (Seneca, KS), 33-7 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Bluejays face the Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] Cyclones (Wathena, KS) in a Big Seven bout, on Friday, September 7. Sabetha will attempt to advance on its 1-0 season record. The Cyclones enter the bout with a 0-1 record after their 27-13 league loss to Hiawatha (Hiawatha, KS).
