The Mountain Pointe Pride (Phoenix, AZ) basketball felled the visiting Desert Vista Thunder (Phoenix, AZ), 57-42 in Friday's league test.

The Pride (13-7) will now prepare for their test against Desert Ridge (Mesa, AZ). The Jaguars go into the 6A Central test with a 6-15 record. In their last test, Desert Ridge was beaten by Queen Creek (Queen Creek, AZ), 37-24, in a league test.

The Thunder now own a 11-9 record. They play next when they travel to Corona del Sol for a 6A Central test on Tuesday, January 15. Desert Vista will encounter a Aztecs squad coming off a 63-20 league loss to Highland (Gilbert, AZ). The Aztecs record now stands at 0-15.
