Walthill Blujays (Walthill, NE) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting St. Edward Beavers (St. Edward, NE), 72-22 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Walthill upgrades its record to 10-2 on the season. The Blujays host Lutheran-Northeast (Norfolk, NE) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 11-3. Lutheran-Northeast won 62-36 in their recent league bout against Battle Creek (Battle Creek, NE)

Next up, the Beavers play the Heartland Lutheran Red Hornets (Grand Island, NE) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 13. St. Edward will attempt to upgrade on its 1-10 season record. The Red Hornets go into the bout with a 3-10 record after their 59-31 non-league win over St. Edward (St. Edward, NE).
