In Friday's league match, the host Decatur Red Raiders football squad scored a good 35-14 victory over the Florence Falcons.

In their next game, the Red Raiders clash with the Hazel Green Trojans (Hazel Green, AL) in a 6A Region 8 match, on Friday, October 14. Decatur will attempt to move on its 4-3 season record. The Trojans enter the match with a 5-2 record after their 20-10 league win over Grissom (Huntsville, AL).
