Ohio High School Volleyball - Northview tips Ashland
October 23, 2018: Ashland, OH 44805 The Northview Wildcats (Sylvania, OH) volleyball tipped the host Ashland Arrows (Ashland, OH), 3-2 in Tuesday's non-league outing.
With the win, Northview upgrades its record to 17-7 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Notre Dame Academy (Toledo, OH) to play the Eagles in a non-league outing on Thursday, October 25. The Eagles go into the outing with a record of 15-9. Notre Dame Academy won 3-0 in their recent non-league outing against Springfield (Holland, OH)
The Arrows now own a 20-4 record.
Match Summary
NAPOLEON - In the District semi final match against Ashland, Northview was able to prevail three sets to two. This is the 5th time in 42 years that Northview will play in a District Final match, which will be held on Thursday, October 25 at 6:00 P.M. verse Notre Dame Academy at Napoleon High School.
Leading for the Cats was senior, McKenna Hall with a career high and team high 25 kills, hitting .246, 17 digs, team high 5 blocks, and a team high 3 aces. Also leading for Northview was Hannah Frame with 17 kills, 19 digs. Sophomore setter, Clare Kwiatkowski had 54 assists and 11 digs. Defensively, libero Morgan Birxey had a team high 22 digs, and defensive specialist, Courtney Kross had a career high 15 digs.
As a team, Northview had 91 digs, hit .159 with 56 kills. It was a total team effort, with each other and for each other.
