Arizona High School Softball - Ironwood Ridge holds off Basha

Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks (Tucson, AZ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Basha Bears (Chandler, AZ), 4-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Nighthawks now own a 11-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Poston Butte for a II Section VI challenge on Monday, March 24. Ironwood Ridge will battle a Broncos squad coming off a 13-0 non-league loss to Flowing Wells (Tucson, AZ). The Broncos record now stands at 1-15.

With the loss, Basha falls to 10-3 on the campaign. The Bears host Chandler (Chandler, AZ) to battle the Wolves in a I Section II challenge on Tuesday, March 25. The Wolves enter the challenge with a record of 8-6. Chandler won 5-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Marcos de Niza (Tempe, AZ)
