North Carolina High School Basketball - New Hanover tops Hoggard

February 8, 2018: Wilmington, NC 28403

New Hanover Wildcats (Wilmington, NC) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Hoggard Vikings (Wilmington, NC), 53-44 in a league bout.

With the victory, New Hanover upgrades its record to 20-4 on the campaign.

Next up, the Vikings play the Topsail Pirates (Hampstead, NC) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 12. Hoggard will attempt to upgrade on its 14-10 season record. The Pirates come into the bout with a 5-19 record after their 65-61 league win over North Brunswick (Leland, NC).
