California High School Basketball - Centennial holds off Santa Monica
November 29, 2010: Santa Monica, CA 90405 Centennial Apaches (Compton, CA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Santa Monica Vikings (Santa Monica, CA), 59-56 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Centennial upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Apaches travel to Long Beach Poly (Long Beach, CA) to play the Jackrabbits in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 1. The Jackrabbits come into the bout with a record of 1-0. Long Beach Poly won 98-23 in their recent non-league bout against Santee (Los Angeles, CA)
Next up, the Vikings play the Jordan Panthers (Long Beach, CA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, November 30. Santa Monica will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 52-51 non-league loss to Palisades (Pacific Palisades, CA).
