February 6, 2018: Albuquerque, NM 87110 The Sandia Matadors basketball team (Albuquerque, NM), was overwhelmed 57-32 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Eldorado Eagles (Albuquerque, NM)
The Eagles now possess a 16-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Manzano for a 6A District 2 battle on Saturday, February 10. Eldorado will confront a Monarchs team coming off a 48-38 league loss to Clovis (Clovis, NM). The Monarchs record now stands at 5-16.
The Matadors (8-13) will now prepare for their battle against La Cueva (Albuquerque, NM). The Bears come into the 6A District 2 battle with a 12-9 record. In their last battle, La Cueva trounced Santa Fe (Santa Fe, NM), 46-28, in a league battle.
