The Waverly Vikings topped the visiting Gretna Dragons basketball team by a final score of 52-38 in Thursday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Vikings face the Elkhorn Antlers (Elkhorn, NE) in a non-league game, on Friday, January 26. Waverly will attempt to move on its 11-6 season record. The Antlers enter the game with a 16-2 record after their 32-17 league win over Norris (Firth, NE).

With the defeat, Gretna moves to 12-4 on the year. The Dragons host Wahoo (Wahoo, NE) to encounter the Warriors in a non-league test on Tuesday, January 30. The Warriors go into the test with a record of 16-3. Wahoo lost 42-40 in their recent non-league test against Platteview (Springfield, NE)
