Utah High School Basketball - Lehi beaten by American Fork
February 3, 2012: American Fork, UT 84003 In Friday's league match, the host American Fork Cavemen basketball team scored a good 62-51 triumph over the Lehi Pioneers.
In their next game, the Cavemen confront the Riverton Silverwolves (Riverton, UT) in a 5A Region 4 match, on Tuesday, February 7. American Fork will attempt to move on its 14-2 season record. The Silverwolves enter the match with a 8-9 record after their 56-36 league loss to Lone Peak (Highland, UT).
With the defeat, Lehi moves to 10-7 on the year. The Pioneers host Bingham (South Jordan, UT) to confront the Miners in a 5A Region 4 match on Tuesday, February 7. The Miners enter the match with a record of 7-12.
First Quarter
Led by Ryan Christofferson's 6 points the Pioneers led at the end of the first quarter by the score of 14 to 12.
Second Quarter
Only 5 baskets were scored in the second quarter as American Fork had 12 points and Lehi had 9. The score at the end of the first half is American Fork 24 and Lehi 23.
Third Quarter
American Fork outscored Lehi by 9 points in the third quarter as Lehi was only able to come up with 5 points. The score at the end of three is American Fork 38 and Lehi 28.
Fourth Quarter
Both teams scored well in the last quarter as American Fork scored 24 and Lehi had 23. American Fork made 14 of 18 from the foul line in the quarter to get the win. Colton Colledge led Lehi with 18 points. He also had 10 rebounds and blocked 3 shots. American Fork comes out with a 11 point win at home. Final score is American Fork 62 and Lehi 51.
