Texas High School Basketball - Coronado prevails Rio Grande
December 29, 2011: El Paso, TX 79912 Coronado Thunderbirds (El Paso, TX) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Rio Grande Ravens (Albuquerque, NM), 68-49 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Coronado upgrades its record to 11-6 on the season. The Thunderbirds travel to Odessa (Odessa, TX) to play the Bronchos in a non-league bout on Friday, January 6. The Bronchos go into the bout with a record of 8-8.
Next up, the Ravens play the Cibola Cougars (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 4. Rio Grande will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record.
