The Silver Stage Nighthawks (Silver Springs, NV) basketball nipped the host Smith Valley Bulldogs (Smith, NV), 52-45 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Nighthawks (1-0) will now prepare for their test against Fernley (Fernley, NV). The Vaqueros go into the 3A/2A Lahontan test with a 1-0 record.

The Bulldogs now own a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Southeast Career Tech for a non-league test on Thursday, December 1. Smith Valley will clash with a Roadrunners squad coming off a 41-39 non-league win over Mountain View Christian (Las Vegas, NV). The Roadrunners record now stands at 1-0.
