New Mexico High School Basketball - Ruidoso holds off Socorro
January 7, 2013: Socorro, NM 87801 Ruidoso Warriors (Ruidoso, NM) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Socorro Warriors (Socorro, NM), 67-61 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Ruidoso upgrades its record to 6-5 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Tularosa (Tularosa, NM) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 10. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 7-4. Tularosa won 71-26 in their recent non-league challenge against Hot Springs (Truth or Consequences, NM)
Next up, the Warriors battle the Hatch Valley Bears (Hatch, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 8. Socorro will attempt to improve on its 1-9 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 1-7 record after their 71-40 non-league loss to Ruidoso (Ruidoso, NM).
