Texas High School Basketball - Allen nips North Mesquite
December 21, 2012: Mesquite, TX 75150 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Allen Eagles (Allen, TX) and the host North Mesquite Stallions (Mesquite, TX), saw Allen's basketball squad hold off North Mesquite by a margin of 35-34.
The Eagles (4-7) will now prepare for their test against Flower Mound (Flower Mound, TX). The Jaguars go into the non-league test with a 14-5 record.
The Stallions now own a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rockwall for a 5A Region II District 12 test on Wednesday, January 2. North Mesquite will clash with a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 67-47 league loss to Lee (Tyler, TX). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 10-7.
